Dr. Gretchen Kinchen is originally from Hyden, Kentucky. As the daughter of former educators, Dr. Kinchen thought she found her calling as a middle school science teacher. When her oldest son, Thomas was born with an array of medical problems, it was necessary for her to take time off to care for her family.  It also gave her the time to re-evaluate the direction her career was going. Dr. Kinchen decided to switch paths and go back to school to pursue Dentistry.  She graduated from University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2008  and has owned Dental Care by Gretchen Kinchen since 2010.
